Ann Arbor, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Michigan will be without the services of center Jon Horford next season.

The redshirt junior will graduate this May and transfer for his final year of eligibility, the school announced Thursday.

Horford, the younger brother of Atlanta Hawks All-Star Al Horford, appeared in 107 games in his four years in Ann Arbor, playing mostly in a reserve role.

The Wolverines never missed the NCAA Tournament with him on the roster.

"Jon has been an integral part of our many accomplishments over the last four years," said Michigan coach John Beilein. "He brought great enthusiasm, leadership and work ethic to our program."

Horford averaged 3.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game this past season. He has scored 310 points for his career on 54.7 percent shooting.

"As on all journeys, new paths must be taken and intuition must be trusted," Horford said. "I leave Michigan with nothing but love in my heart."

Big Ten transfer rules state that Horford cannot join another school in the conference, but he is free to transfer to any other school.
