REVERE, Mass. (AP) — A teenager whose photograph appeared on the front page of the New York Post in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings says he was stunned to see himself portrayed as a potential suspect.

Salah Eddin Barhoum says he has been scared to go outside because he worries people will blame him for Monday's attack.

The 17-year-old from Morocco told The Associated Press in an interview Thursday at his Revere home that he feels he may have come under suspicion from some because he has dark skin.

He says he went to state police to clear his name after learning he was being described as a possible suspect in the Internet.

A photo of him and another person from his running club appeared on the front of Thursday's Post. The FBI identified two other men in photographs later in the day.
