The investigation continues into back-to-back traffic mishaps that left one woman dead. Police report that two vehicles were traveling north-bound on the West Loop near Marsha Sharp Fwy. around 10 p.m. on March 16.

After the collision, one driver pulled over and called 911.

The other car, driven by 27-year-old Alyssa Dennis, struck the median and rolled over. Lubbock Police report a pick-up truck struck Dennis' car shortly after.

"Unfortunately, you know, whenever her car was struck, it ended up upside-down," Lubbock Police Sergeant Jason Lewis said. "It would be very, very difficult to see, and then that pick-up truck struck it. It's very sad for everybody involved, families involved and the people that were involved to know that somebody ended up dying in the accident."

Dennis was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed.
