United Supermarkets honored an employee for 50 years of service Tuesday.
Abel Pompa joined the company on January 1st, 1962, as a sacker in his hometown of Levelland.
Over the decades he's held a variety of positions, including store director.
Pompa is currently specialty grocery manager for United's Market Street location at 50th Street and Indiana Avenue in Lubbock.
