It is that time of year again, Texas Tech students are hunkering down to prepare for the Texas Longhorns.
Students are setting up camp at Raiderville in anticipation of Saturday's game against Texas. Game admittance will be based on the day students begin camping out and the number of times they are checked in.
Student Jacob Mickle said it is all about the experience. He said admittance to the game is just a plus.
"Being at Raiderville, you can be up at 3 o'clock in the morning and yell 'Raider' and just know that a thousand other people are going to yell 'Power' at the same time," Mickle said. "Just that collectivity, all that communication with each other. going to the game and having that type of family environment is really cool, and that's kind of what we're here for."
The first check-in took place at 8 p.m. Monday night. There will be two check-ins between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. each day until Friday.
