Tech development director leaves for Colorado system

Texas Tech is losing the vice chancellor who spearheaded the recent campaign that raised $1 billion for the university. 

Dr. Kelly Overley Cronin has announced she is leaving her alma mater to accept a position with the University of Colorado system. She will be vice president for advancement for that institution's four-campus system. 

She has lead Texas Tech Institutional Advancement since 2008. She also served as the chief operating officer for the Texas Tech Foundation.

She starts her new job in Boulder Sept. 1.
