Suspect arrested in convenience store robbery

An arrest has been made in a convenience store robbery Friday night. The robbery happened at the Stripes convenient store located on Clovis Road.

Officials said a Hispanic male walked into the store, brandishing a gun and demanded money. The store clerk was able to identify the vehicle and suspect to officers who located the vehicle on the 200 block of Guava Street.

The vehicle belonged to Billy G. Miller III. Officers pursued the vehicle to the 3500 block of East Baylor , where Miller then fled on foot. He was quickly taken into custody.

Miller was in possesion of evidence from the robbery when he was arrested. He is currently being held in the Lubbock County jail. He's charged with a felony count of aggravated robbery and one felony count of evading arrest with vehicle.
