Any caring individual in the Lubbock area can help "Be a Santa to a Senior" this holiday season.

With the help of Meals on Wheels, Adult Protective Services, and other local agencies, Home Instead Senior Care works to identify seniors who may live alone and lack support this time of year. Christmas trees will be placed at three spots around town with paper ornaments detailing the seniors' name and gift requests. Many of these requests are practical items such as house slippers and room heaters.

Following the kickoff ribbon cutting at Kmart on Nov. 14th, you will find trees set up at Kmart (6201 University), City Bank (5219 City Bank Parkway), and the Home Instead Senior Care office (1010 Slide). Simply pick off an ornament and return your donated gifts, with the ornament attached, to the same location.
