Businesses all over Lubbock are gearing up for Saint Patty's Day! The festivities start early Saturday night at Stella's.
"We're going to have live music with Bryan McCray," Lee Campbell of Stella's said. "We're also going to have food specials like fish and chips, and a little bit of corned beef and cabbage."
Green beer will be flowing across town, and plenty of places to celebrate with the Irish!
"We've got great drink specials. Irish car bombs, green beer, and some special drinks we've made up for the night like the green Moscow mule," Campbell said.
"We're really the only Irish place in town," Beef 'O' Brady's owner Micah Sparks said. "You can buy a pint glass, it's a commemorative glass. And if you do, you can have seven cent beers all day long- anything green beer."
If you are looking for a more *family oriented* place, Beef 'O' Brady's is having a big party! This Irish restaurant will have green beer, green jello shots, live bag pipe performances, and even a coloring contest, face paintings and a magician for the kiddos.
"We're also donating to the Muscular Dystrophy Association," Sparks said. "It's an organization that sends kids with Muscular Dystrophy to camp. You can buy a shamrock for a dollar, and we'll proudly display it at our front window up there. And personally, I'm going to match at least $200 dollars."
The Fox and Hound is actually an English pub, but they are going full-blown Irish to get everyone in the spirit of the green holiday!
"St. Patrick's day at Fox and Hound is one of our busiest nights of the year," Manager Shea Raymond said. "We're going to be serving corned beef and cabbage. We're going to have lots of give-aways, some free tastings, and of course green beers."
And no matter what you decide to do, make sure you wear green, stay safe and have a good time.
