Lubbock is known for being home of the legendary Buddy Holly and the Crickets, but it's someone just outside the groups' circle that's drawn a German TV crew to Lubbock. They're asking "what ever happened to Peggy Sue?"

The crew, working on a film called "Muses and Music," is contacting the women behind some of the world's most famous rock songs- including Peggy Sue Gerron.

The Lubbock native is the "muse" behind Buddy Holly's world-wide hit, "Peggy Sue."

In finding the females for their film members of the crew say it was no walk in the park.

"Not everyone wanted to step up in front of the camera and talk to us. For example, Chrissie Shrimpton inspired a lot of songs by the Rolling Stones. Her mother said 'no this is over.' She doesn't want her daughter to do it. And we asked quite a few people, and not everyone wanted to do it. And then we decided, what kind of songs, what kind of music do we like. And we love Buddy Holly," Script Writer Markus Heidingfelder said.

The film "Muses and Music" will debut this summer in Germany and France.
