Lubbock police were on the scene of a fatal shooting late Monday night at One Guy from Italy Pizza at 4320 50th Street.
Sgt. Jonathan Stewart said just after 10:00 p.m. two Hispanic males entered the restaurant with guns and demanded money from the register. When they found the register to be empty, the suspects stole a tip jar.
Stewart said while exiting, the suspects encountered 26-year old David Rowser. Stewart said in a statement Rowser, an employee, was shot multiple times in the chest. He was pronounced dead at UMC.
Stewart said the suspects then fled in an uknown direction. At this time no suspects have been located or taken into custody.
The suspects are both described as young Hispanic males with buzz cuts, approximately 5'10''-6'00", and thin.
The first suspect was wearing a light gray hoddie and baggy clothing. He is light complected and was wearing "white out" contact lenses.
The second suspect was also wearing a hoddie and baggy clothing and had on a beanie cap. He has a goatee and a star tattoo on the right side of his neck extending up onto his cheek.
He also has another tattoo, possibly a star, under one of his eyes.
A uknown color van or minivan is also possibly involved. Stewart said the investigation is ongoing.
