Congressman Randy Neugebauer listened to concerns about Obamacare.
The congressman hosted a round table discussion Monday at the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce. He said he wants to know the challenges and concerns of his constituents with the healthcare initiative, and help them through the uncertainty of navigating the process.
"There's a lot of confusion," Neugebauer said. "We're hearing a lot of stories about people losing their health care, people's health care premiums going up, not being able to see the doctor they've been seeing under the new plans. One of the things that's still looming out there is, obviously, what are small businesses going to do when this small business mandate kicks in next year?"
One of the concerns that generated much discussion at this roundtable was limited choices. Neugebauer said since fewer plans are being offered, many feel like they are being put into two or three boxes when not everyone fits into those cookie cutter categories.
