An elderly man is dead after his motorcycle collided with a van in the intersection at Indiana Avenue and 58th Street.
82-year-old Delbert McRoberts reportedly ran a red light. The van was turning southbound onto Indiana when it was hit by the motorcyclist traveling north. The 70-year-old driver of the van reportedly had the green arrow to make the turn.
McRoberts was taken to UMC in cardiac arrest. According to witnesses, McRoberts was wearing a helmet but it snapped off from the force of the collision.
