Jessie William Mason, 43, is in the Lubbock County Detention Center charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit assault.
The incident occurred in the 4600 block of North Frankford Friday night.
According to Sheriff's Office reports, Mason went to the county residence where his ex-girlfriend was staying, and tried to get in. The girlfriend told deputies that Mason would not leave, and that he was threatening the home's owner, Skeet Minnick.
Minnick then reportedly shot Mason who drove off just before deputies arrived.
Mason was arrested shortly thereafter at an address in Lubbock.
