The LUNA Fish Fry is one tasty and entertaining way to give back to the Lubbock community.

Lubbock United Neighborhoods (LUNA), LISD and the College of Education at Texas Tech are hosting the event.

The fish fry is a way these community partners are working together to stamp out illiteracy and celebrating the start of a new school year.

The funds raised by the event will be used by LUNA to support neighborhood associations in promoting the health and well being of youth, increasing safety, reducing crime and beautification efforts.

The event is happening Saturday, August 17 at McKenzie Park from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Tickets are available at the event. For more information and other spots to pick up tickets visit the LUNA Facebook page
