Pecans have bounced back slightly after the 2011 drought. According to the Texas Agri Life Extension Service the 2012 State Pecan Crop is expected to be around 65 million pounds.

Lubbock Pecans will be ready just in time for holiday baking and gifts.

Supermarket prices for unshelled pecan halves have fallen and will likely run $2-to-3 less a pound than a year ago.
