A one-vehicle wreck in east Lubbock County killed a man while critically injuring his 20-month-old child, Gorge III, and seriously injuring his wife.

Gorge Camacho, Jr, 19, died at the hospital shortly after midnight following a rollover on FM 400, east of the city of Lubbock. His wife, 19-year-old Elizabeth Jean Camacho, sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries, according to DPS Sgt. Bryan Witt.

Witt said the family was driving on FM 400 around 6p.m. when Camacho, Jr. lost control of the Chevrolet Suburban and over-corrected, causing it to skid sideways and roll over.

Camacho, Jr. and Elizabeth Jean Camacho were each wearing seat belts, Witt said.
