A Lubbock High School orchestra teacher is placed on administrative leave, while his misdemeanor marijuana possession charge is pending.
Police report 34-year-old Alejos Anaya was arrested at his home last night after agreeing to let officers conduct a search. He's since been released from the Lubbock County Detention Center.
Anaya is accused of possessing less than two ounces of marijuana in a drug free zone. His home is within a thousand feet of a school.
A District spokeswoman said Anaya will remain on paid leave while the LPD investigation continues.
