The city's libraries board awaiting proposals by consultants interested in developing a potential master facilities plan.

The study would serve as a framework for planning. The goal is to identify library needs, services, and locations anticipated in the next 10 to 20 years. Bids are due Thursday.

The board is waiting to see how much such a study would cost to determine if the friends of the library group, instead of the city, could potentially pay for it.
