A Kent County deputy has been arrested on a charge of aggravated sexual assault on a child. 28-year-old Duane Eric West is being held in the Garza County Jail on $40,000 bond.
The allegations were reported by a relative of a 13-year-old girl on December 31.
Texas Rangers are working with Child Protective Services and the Kent County sheriffs office in the investigation.
