A Lubbock man in custody was accused of striking a pedestrian with his pickup truck then fleeing he scene.LPD reported 21-year-old Juan Paul Garza Jr. was walking in the roadway in the 1300 Block of Quaker Sunday when he was hit. Garza's injuries are serious.
Officers located and arrested 24-year-old Shelby Glenn Miller a short time after the collision. Miller held on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to stop and render aid.
