The holiday shopping season is also the season of increasing numbers of vehicle burglaries and thefts. The Lubbock Police Department is encouraging you to take some common sense precautions to prevent those crimes.
A short list:
- Never leave the keys in your vehicle
- Never leave your vehicle running while it's unattended
- Always lock your vehicle's doors and close the windows
- Remove all valuable items from your parked vehicle, or put them in a place that is out of view like the trunk or another secure place.
