Lubbock High School's Orchestra Teacher, Alejos Anaya, resumed teaching duties Monday. The State Board of Educator Certification cleared Anaya after his charges were reduced to a Class B Misdemeanor.
He has agreed to several conditions surrounding his continued employment, including a change of his contract to a probationary contract.
A statement provided by LISD said:
"We are pleased to put this matter to rest and continue the outstanding orchestra program at Lubbock High School."
