A pair of bandits accost two Lubbock High school students in a drive-by armed robbery near the school's campus.

It happened just before the lunch hour at 18th street and Avenue U.

Two students report they were getting school supplies from their vehicle that was parked on the street, when a white sedan stopped and two bandits demanded the teens hand over their personal valuables.

The students report one of the male suspects displayed a firearm.

No shots were fired.

The students were not injured and the suspects drove away.

LISD police chief Mark Hinshaw says his department was notified first, and school district officers are working with Lubbock police to investigate the crime.
