The suspect arrested last week following a chase and standoff with deputies near Idalou has been moved from the Lubbock County Detention Center to the Hale County Jail.Bond for 37-year-old Michael Tad Akin was set at $250,000 at his arraignment on an attempted murder charge.
Last Thursday's pursuit began as Hale County deputies were trying to serve Akin with a warrant on that charge. He was taken into custody after a standoff with officers at a house near Idalou. Akin is accused of stabbing 47-year-old Carlos Gonzales near the victim's home north of Petersburg.
