The general election for county, state and federal races are less than two months away. To be eligible to cast a ballot in November, residents who have moved or do not already have a yellow voter card that is current must register by October 9th.
Elections Administrator Dorothy Kennedy said there are many options available.
"You've got applications all across Lubbock County," Kennedy said. "They're in the post offices. they're in the libraries. all these locations. And you can go online to the secretary of state's website, download it, print it out, fill it out. As long as it's post marked October the 9th and we get it, then we will have it in time, in a timely manner so it will be on the list of registered voters."
Early voting for the November 6th election will begin on October 22nd.
