A pile of rubble at 34th Street and Vicksburg Avenue is a sign of progress for a major construction project for Coronado High School. The former Terrace Shopping Center has been leveled to make way for expanded school parking and building improvements.
The school district bought the property in 2004. Improving access to the Coronado campus part of the LISD bond project voters approved in 2010.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring and take a year to complete.
