Three local hangouts are responsible for keeping tabs on more than 4,000 kids each year.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Lubbock provide a safe, active and engaging afterschool environment.

Since 1940,the organization has helped young people by offering free or very low-cost programs.

Children and teens ages six to eighteen can join the club for as low as five dollars and no more than ten dollars a year.

No child is ever turned away because of financial need.

Members participate in character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills, the arts, sports, fitness and recreation.

There are three club locations in Lubbock and one in Shallowater.
