A jury found a defendant guilty in the attack of a woman in Lubbock County in 2010. 40-year-old Scotty Dean Justice has been convicted of two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of aggravated assault.
Testimony during the trial indicated the victim was raped, beaten, and left off in a rural area close to the Lubbock- Hockley County line.
The punishment phase of the trial is set to begin Wednesday.
