A man convicted in November of aggravated robbery is now sentenced to 45 years behind bars.

Joey Balero was arrested in 2011 along with Quentin Pendleton after their SUV crashed in a downtown car lot around 11:30 at night.
According to police, the incident began when a driver rear-ended an SUV that stopped suddenly at 19th Street and Buddy Holly Avenue. One of the suspects reportedly got out of the SUV and demanded money from the other driver.

According to the incident report a second suspect got out of the SUV, pointed an assault rifle at the driver, and fired a round into the air.
