The 35th Annual Lubbock Arts Festival has something for every taste.
The event features visual art, dance, music, theater, make-and-take art stations for kids, creative works by Aaron Batch.
There is also an exhibit of 50 black velvet paintings.
The works are from a collection of around 2,500 velvet paintings from the founders of The Velveteria Museum, Carl Baldwin and Caren Anderson.
