The average American consumes 48 pints of ice cream a year, more than any other country.

Perhaps that's why there is an entire month dedicated to celebrating the cold and creamy classic.

July is National Ice Cream Month and Blue Bell Ice Cream honors the celebration every year by introducing a new ice cream flavor.

This year it's Rockslide Brownie, a dark chocolate ice cream with pieces of chocolate brownies, miniature marshmallows, chopped almonds, pecans and walnuts, all surrounded by a rich caramel swirl.

Lubbock's Blue Bell Transfer Center hauls in, stores and moves out many flavors of ice cream in their freezer unit.
