Two more guilty pleas bring the total to six convictions in an FBI investigation of a drug trafficking ring in our region.

David Lee Russell and Dennis Carl Hegwood, both of California, are the latest to plead guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine.

Federal prosecutors report they supplied drugs to members of the Levelland-based outlaw Motorcycle gang Aces and Eights.

Last month, Lubbock residents Earnest Gale Flowers, Bill Charles Fuller, Jason Gutierrez and Kristi Quillen pleaded guilty and await sentencing.

According to court documents the 22 remaining defendants arrested in a major coordinated sweep back in July have indicated their intent to plead guilty.

Among them, are accused ringleader Bobby Duwayne Froman of Levelland and two former Hockley County Sheriffs Deputies, Gordon Bohannon and Jose "Jesse" Quintanilla.
