Trial is underway for a truck driver accused of murdering a woman and dumping her body in Lubbock.
Kenneth Ray Dunn, 55, of San Antonio, was accused of killing 43-year-old Stephanie Williams in January 2012.
A passerby found her body wrapped in a sheet near East 46th Street and Locust Avenue. According to the medical examiner, Williams died of blunt force trauma head wounds. She was from the Metroplex.
In opening statements, prosecutors told the jury that evidence will show Dunn left a truck stop in Lancaster with Williams, and bludgeoned her to death inside his truck. Defense attorneys claimed Dunn "snapped" when the woman hit him, and his actions were justified.
Testimony resumes Tuesday morning.
