An Austin-area boy was killed and five others were injured in a weekend one-vehicle traffic wreck in Parmer County.
The Department of Public Safety reported 14-year old Jordan Simms, of Round Rock, was ejected from an SUV when the driver drove into the median of U.S. Highway 70 and lost control. The vehicle rolled over several times before coming to rest on its top.
Troopers says the driver most likely was nodding off to sleep. That driver was treated for minor injuries. Four other passengers suffered moderate injuries.
