A local banker was honored Thursday for his commitment to helping foster entrepreneurship. The U.S. Small Business
Administration named John Steinmetz, Lubbock Market President of Vista Bank, as the region's financial services Champion of the Year.
The award recognizes Steinmetz for partnering with the SBA and the Small Business Development Center and helping to increase local small business access to capital.
