The Lubbock County Grand Jury handed down several indictments against a suspect accused of leading police on a high speed chase that ended in a wreck in Ralls last month.
27-year-old James Christopher Guilbeau is charged with evading arrest resulting in serious bodily injury, possession of a controlled substance, and tampering with evidence.
According to Idalou police, Guilbeau sped away from officers during a traffic stop on July 24th.
Guilbeau reportedly threw several items out of the window of his vehicle while traveling eastbound on Highway 62/82.
In the Ralls city limits, the suspect’s vehicle veered into the westbound lanes and collided with an oncoming car.
Guilbeau, his passenger, and the driver of the other car were all injured.
Police reported they found Methamphetamine in Guilbeau's vehicle.
The charges against Guilbeau are enhanced due to his extensive prior criminal record.
