Two people were killed and two more were seriously injured in a three vehicle collision Tuesday night in Floyd County.
DPS Senior Corporal John Gonzalez reports two trucks were heading northbound on State Highway 207, about nine miles south of Floydada, when the initial collision happened. A truck driven by 19-year-old Hunter Schwertner of Floydada struck the back of an SUV driven by 49-year-old Nancy Cooper of Matador.
That collision sent Schwertner's truck into the southbound lane where it met head-on with a truck driven by 60-year-old George Wilke of Post.
Wilke and Schwertner died at the scene. Cooper and a passenger in Wilke's Jeep were hospitalized in Lubbock with serious injuries.
