Lubbock parents of ten adopted children, Dave and Wonda Dixon, have been charged with injury to a child.

The children were removed from the couple's home more than a month ago after CPS investigators suspected that a 12-year-old girl was malnourished. She reportedly weighed only 57 pounds.

An affidavit filed by a CPS investigator stated the girl's spine and ribs poked through her shirt, and that she was tiny and leathery-skinned. The parents denied any wrongdoing and claimed the child's malnourishment stemmed from her inability to behave.

The affidavit also stated, "Wonda and Dave are very good about covering things up, and have taught the adoptive siblings not to disclose any information to anyone."

The child has since been released from the hospital, and all the children are in the custody of CPS.

The Dixon's bond was set at $150,000 each.
