Flashing lights in some parts of Lubbock Monday morning were likely due to a rollover that occurred just down the road and damaged a utility pole.
The crash happened near the intersection of 82nd and MLK. Police say the driver of a Dodge pickup was traveling northbound on MLK and lost control of the vehicle as it approached the intersection. The truck went off the roadway, struck a parked RV and then rolled over, landing on the guy wires of a utility pole.
Two people were transported to UMC with moderate injuries. Their names have not been released.
The fire department was on scene to assist in rescue efforts and LP&L called out to make repairs to the damaged pole.
