City Council wants to hear from you on Thursday night about Xcel Energy's proposed rate hike.

Xcel wants to raise its rates, mainly to recover costs to help keep up with growing demand. Customers who use 1,000 kilowatt hours a month would eventually pay about $11 dollars more each month under the proposal.

Council members are expected to vote on the measure after listening to public comments.
