The musical legacy of the late Buddy Holly lives on in his hometown and around the globe.
The original and influential rock and roller is still drawing fans to Lubbock on what would have been his 76th birthday.
The Buddy Holly Center is just one of many must-see locations here for visiting fans.
Michelle Crawford with the Buddy Holly Center said, "It's our pleasure and honor to honor him. And we have visitors from all over the world come today. It's been busy. We've had Denmark, a lot of people from Britain. So, always exciting."
Holly was killed in a small plane crash in 1959 during a snowstorm in Iowa at just 22 years of age.
