All Saints Episcopal School is one step closer to opening the door to a new era.

The private academy is now kindergarten through tenth grade, expanding its high school curriculum for freshmen and sophomores. Next year, it will add eleventh grade, then twelfth grade in 2015.

Headmaster Mike Bennett said there is record enrollment this year, with 387 students.

"One thing that's really big for us is our pupil-teacher ratio," Bennett said. "In the high school, the middle school, we have no more than 16 kids in the classroom with one teacher, and that's a big deal. Now, the folks who have 30 or 35, or 38, they're working hard, they're doing a good job. But, everybody knows that if you have responsibility for 12 to 16 kids in a classroom, you are just going to have more interaction."

The high school facility is expected to be complete in a couple of months.
