A pilot and his passenger, who belly landed a private plane transporting pot after refueling at the Yoakum County Airport, sentenced for felony drug possession.
50 year-old pilot, Gregory Thomas and 66 year-old Dorothea Cangelosi, each pleaded guilty in August to possession with intent to distribute 50 kilograms or more of marijuana. Court documents say Cangelosi paid Thomas to fly her from California to Houston in April.
Federal Judge, Sam Cummings, sentenced each to serve two years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. They're ordered to report to prison on December 13th.
