The West Texas Porsche Club raced through the South Plains mall parking lot Saturday afternoon. From Hondas to Mustangs to Corvettes and, of course, Porsches, beginner level drivers completed a course in whatever car they chose in a contest to beat the clock.
"It's a friendly competition, beginner level race driving. you drive your car against the course and against time, it's not wheel-to-wheel, it's very safe, very good introductory level driving event," said Brian Harnish, VP of Driving Events for the club.
This is the second of four auto crosses. The next one is in August, followed by the last in September. For more information about the group, or its events, click here.
