A woman injured in a car wreck late Saturday night is now home resting.
Cynthia Garcia, 47, was treated and released from UMC, according to a hospital spokesman. The driver, 34-year-old Christopher Garcia, died later that night at the hospital.
The car was northbound on I-27 headed to the 19th Street exit, when it swerved to miss debris on the road. The car hit a guardrail, and the driver was ejected from the vehicle. According to the police report, the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
