Police say a man is hospitalized in stable condition, recovering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The shooting happened just before 2 a.m. Monday outside the Thunderbird Night Club near 23rd Street and Fir Avenue.

Police say David Jackson, 24, was shot during a fight and taken by a private vehicle to the hospital. But on the way the driver slowed to catch the attention of an EMS vehicle parked at a gas station, and was rear ended.

That ambulance took the shooting victim to the hospital.

Police are still investigating the incident at the night club. No suspect has been identified.

Is the city able to go a few days without violence? It is a shame that too many violent undead creatures refuse to accept the blessing of being allowed to live, and seek to bring the populous down to their level.
