The next snow day in Lubbock will have a thumbs up. Lubbock cooper students panted a TxDot snow plow with their hand prints. The plow will be shoveling snow wit a little more color this winter.
Dianah Ascencio, a TxDot spokes woman says she hopes kids have more than just a good time, saying "not only are we doing something for the community, but it also gives us a chance to talk about safety here with the students at Cooper West."
Ascencio says they are always looking for ways to teach creatively. There was also a roll-over simulator used to help teach kids about seat belt safety.
