Practice continues for the Red Raiders in Dallas in preparation for the Ticket City Bowl Saturday at the Cotton Bowl.

Head coach Tommy Tuberville addressed reports that former defensive coordinator James Willis left that position this week because of domestic assault. Coach Tuberville says those allegations didn't play a factor in Willis leaving the program.

"That was never even discussed when we sat down and talked about his future," says Tuberville. "He will work through those and everybody has some kind of problems. They seem to be when you read stuff, more serious than what they are, but he is a good guy and has a good family."

Tech announced Sunday Willis would be leaving his position effective immediately. The following day a Wolfforth Police report linked Willis to a domestic violence incident at the house he's currently renting.
