Mixed emotions from Red Raider fans on this eve of the conference rivalry-ending game against Texas A&M.
Several of the students we found breaking camp at Raiderville say it's a bittersweet good-bye.
"It's sad. You see all these teams. they're all great teams. You see Nebraska leave and Colorado and you see the conference kind of deteriorating. It's going to be a tough loss. It's been a rivalry for quite some time and I think that all the teams are going to be missed when they part their ways," says Tim Kologinczak.
An even larger crowd than ever expected to pack Jones AT&T Stadium on Saturday.
Tech President Guy Bailey stressing the importance of good sportsmanship for his Big 12 school's football farewell to the Aggies.
"We want to be loud in the stadium. We want to 'boo' them when it's appropriate to 'boo' them. We want to cheer our guys and make them feel good. We want to treat their fans with hospitality. It's not their fans we want to intimidate. We want them to come back to lubbock and spend money here. We want their business here. We want their fans here. We want them to feel good. We want their team to feel bad," says Bailey.
President Bailey notes there have been some tremendous games during the history of this Big 12 conference match-up and he wishes the Aggies good luck in the SEC.
